Grey Warden

This is a short story duology of Day and June, before they met each other in the first novel.

Day's story revolves around his daily struggles with life on the streets in Lake Sector, leading to an unexpected encounter. June's tale begins with her first day at Drake University, the youngest cadet in the ranks. Each story brings us a little closer to the two protagonists but also continues the fantastic lengths the series has to stretch to in order to keep them on their pedestals, and it gets to be a little much at times.
